SPRAY TAN PREPARATION:

SCHEDULE-

ALL other beauty services TWO days prior to your spray tan!

Such as: Hair, Nails, waxing, facials, massage. You DO NOT want your tan compromised due to the residue those other services leave behind.

Tan preparation is extremely important to ensure a fabulous tan, so please follow these instructions carefully.

EXFOLIATE-

12-24 hours before being tanned. Use a body scrub (sugar or salt) to remove all dead skin cells off your ENTIRE body. Don’t over scrub (you know your skin best). Concentrate on ALL dry areas such as: knees, elbows, and heels prior to your tan.

*You can mix sugar or salt with your body wash.

SHAVE- 24 hours before.

SHOWERING- 8-12 hours prior to your tan. NO BAR SOAP  (especially Dove) or heavy body washes (They WILL leave a residue). RINSE with lukewarm water ONLY! Your skin should be contaminate free after your last shower.

STAY HYDRATED (inside and out)-

Hydration is key to a long lasting tan! Drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment and keep your skin hydrated until your last shower.

DAY OF APPOINTMENT-

Please have clean, dry skin!

NO lotions or oils

NO make up (if tanning face)

NO perfumes or deodorants

Pay attention to where your lines will be when choosing what clothing you decide to wear during your tan session. Disposable bra, thong and nipple covers will be provided, if you choose.

MUST WEAR BOTTOMS.

POST SESSION INSTRUCTIONS-

MUST wear loose, dark-colored clothing (preferably cotton) and flip-flops to dress in after your appointment while your tan develops (8 hours or follow instructions from your technician).

BEST TO WEAR: Dark colored, loose (all over) dress & flip flops.

CAUTION- If wearing a short dress or shorts, bring a towel for sitting on your car seat.

While your tan is setting, avoid tight clothing, exposure to water, and excessive sweating, and refrain from touching or scratching your new tan (don’t want your fingers to turn tan) until your next instructed shower time.

Wear your tan for a minimum of 8 hours (can sleep in it) or as long as your technician tells you for YOUR tan.

“RINSE” SHOWER- at your designated time, rinse off the bronze color guard. You will see the bronze color wash down the drain. Do not be alarmed, it’s NOT your tan. DO NOT use soap or shampoo’s at this time. ONLY RINSE with lukewarm water and ALWAYS pat dry, and DO NOT rub while drying.

HYDRATE SKIN- Use a hydrating lotion ALL over your ENTIRE body immediately after your RINSE shower and EVERYDAY thereafter to avoid your tan looking dry and cracked.  No Bueno! Avoid mineral oil.

YOUR TAN IS ONLY TEMPORARY- AVOID excessive shaving, sweating, hot showers, & exposure to chlorine & saltwater to reduce the chance of premature fading and uneven color.

ENJOY YOUR TAN!

7-12 days depending on how you’re caring for it. Also, please use a daily 30 SPF or higher (more waterproof/sweat proof) sunscreen when enjoying the outdoors.
